Calamari at The Lemon Tree — louisg's Review (Oct 23, 2022)

The Lemon Tree is a wonderful 100% vegan Mediterranean restaurant in St Catharines. The staff here are incredibly friendly, serving phenomenal food.

Another plant-based seafood appetizer we had was Calamari. It wasn’t rubbery and apparently it’s made from a root vegetable (as opposed to tofu or mushrooms). However they did it, they did it right. The calamari was perfectly seasoned, breaded and fried. However it didn’t have a fishy taste. Like many other appetizers, it was served with in-house tzatziki dip.

I would get this again and I would definitely return to this restaurant. These guys are doing vegan right.
