Mala at Xing Hua Vegetarian Restaurant — Cheryl Jia Le's Review (Sep 19, 2022)

Mala with medium spice level (中辣). The spicy heat is there, but the texture is a solid 4/10. The noodles broke apart the moment I lifted them with my chopsticks. Same for the potato slices; they’re supposed to be crunchy and soft at the same time as they should have been sliced thinly and stir-fried with the other ingredients for that unique texture, but I guess they deep-fried it instead as it’s got the texture of French fries 🤔
