More #Japanese food adventures... I found this at a Japanese supermarket. Made from fermented rice, and from the packaging instructions it's traditionally added to milk as a hot drink. I've been using it in dressings and seasonings as a sweet element, as well.as in coffee. It's sweet but in a milder, caramelly kind of way. I suspect it's slightly healthier than refined sugar, but don't quote me on this 😁🤗
