Review of Chicken rice at Tang Leng Chay 東龍齋 by herbimetal

For this, it was just mock chicken beancurd with rice, soup, cucumber and tomato. I added on 2 dishes - long beans and fried mock fish - and it only cost $5 in total!!! Value for money aside I didn't find this too healthy or tasty. I felt the fried stuff were a bit lacking in flavour and salt but being fried made them tasty. Am glad to have my favourite dark soy sauce drizzled on top. The rice texture could get a little dry, luckily I had the yummy soup to moisten it. Overall the fried stuff and beans were very oily so it didn't feel healthy. But it was very satisfying as I ordered more dishes, if it was the chicken rice by itself I'd find it lacking.
