Planet of Plants

#recyclable, #palmoilfree

Plant minced 'meat' (pretty scary how similar it looks to actual meat!) from the Planet of Plants brand which belongs to PIK Vrbovec, a big meat industry brand - so it's great they have developed a completely new brand that's 100% plant-based! This seemed impossible almost a few years ago. Anyway, digressing a bit: I loved it! We made spaghetti-bolognese with it. The flavor is good, it's light on your stomach and there's no weird after-taste. 17g of protein per 100g of product is pretty good! The regular price is 33 HRK (around €4.30) for 250g, but there was a discount in the supermarket so I got it for 20 HRK (€2.80). It can be frozen and used afterwards. The best bit: every packaging contains a small vegan cook-book with 10 recipes on how to use the mince or the plant balls in your meals. I was really impressed!
