When I first visited this place, I told myself I NEED to try this someday. The claypot rice was so fragrant, lightly salted (2nd pic for addition of dark sauce), and hearty with an addition of chestnut. This is certainly the dish to go if the claypot yee mee isn’t filling enough.

I really like the crispy rice on the sides, “sausages” that tasted like lapchiong, and the strong “wok hei” resembled that of a great claypot rice. While eating this dish, I really thought I was transported back in time eating along roadsides and back alleys of olden days Singapore (not kidding!!😂).

The sweet herbal soup and corn cob complemented this dish in clearing the oiliness associated with claypot dishes, though I wish the corn was boiled a tad longer :’)
