Sorry for the long hiatus!! :’)

Woah this is extremely delicious!!! At the price point of $4.50, I’m screaming for more!!! The yee mee was excellently fried, neither over-cooked nor soggy, and did not leave a cloying noodle after-taste.

Most importantly, it added a depth of essence to the light herbal broth with the right equilibrium of sweetness and saltiness, and I drank every ounce of it without desperately needing to cleanse my palate after the meal.

Packed with crispy and sweet carrots, shiitake, white shimeji, beancurd skin and fried beancurd (slightly charred from the residual claypot heat), the mock meat did not disappoint. It was juicy, stuffed with mushroom bits but not overly-earthy or soy-like. However, despite not having used to the konjac texture of veg fish cakes, I appreciated how flavourful they were — it’s mildly spicy, albeit slightly chewy. What a start to 2022!

Please give this dish a try!! Happy New Year~🥳

fulfilling It is rare to see food serves in clay pot nowadays. It helps to help the food warm longer. Warm food always taste so much better 1 likeReply
