v-dog

Before starting activism and as a vegan newbie I had decided not to "have" dogs or cats because of a moral debate. Teo (the grey pitbull) appeared in my life as a abandoned really skinny, scared and sweety boy. My roommate brought home whilst looking for a home for him. During this period of time he started to spend all his time by me, I had to work with him every day phisically to waste his infinitive energy and to teach him not to be scared of every person and thing in the world. He was able even of coming to work with me every day and would stay in my sight without me needing to call his attention. After a couple of months somebody with several outside dogs was curious about adopting him. I couldn't bear that though and I realized he was already part of my family and had the strong feeling of making sure he had the best life, how? Adopting him.

As I said he was extremely skinny at first. And would get so excited about food that in a FEW seconds the bowl was empty and he would puke every meal after that... I was already struggling with the idea of giving him kibble that is such a bad quality food for them. The meat in kibble is not just super processed but the most sick animal ends up there even in the most expensive kibble. Teo was suffering from allergies too that would show up as very irritated skin and bumps. After A LOT of research and trying different diets (even "healthier" meat for him) the vegan diet ended up being the one that not just worked THE BEST for him, also was his preference. I was surprised no doubt. And then, my roommate's dog decides he does not want his meat kibble any more. He just wants vegan kibble. This has already happened with three different dogs.
The last picture Teo is with Mars (my partner's dog) he also decided to go vegan by himself. My partner was very worry about it and now Mars is so much more active and happy in general, we really think the diet has a lot to with it.

We also feed them fresh food everyday, not just kibble. V-dog is already supplemented which makes it easier.
