I've been a better than bouillon person for quite a while now but I'm really learning to appreciate these Orrington Farms broth base and seasoning mix powders. No refrigeration needed and the flavor is quite nice.
I made a pretty simple shepherd's pie because I had leftover mashed potatoes and the broth was more than flavorful enough to carry this dish and directly substituted 4 beef broth with no additions needed.
There are 28 1- cup servings which makes this pretty economical. This package cost about $5 USD. It's flavorful and held up really well after baking. I don't have the biggest refrigerator so it's nice to have something that doesn't need to be refrigerated yet continues to taste fresh.
