Review of No. 3 Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Breakfast Sandwich at DC Vegetarian by brtjohns
Seasoned tofu, tempeh bacon, gouda (I think) cheeze, tomato, spinach, red pepper aioli on a toasted ciabatta sub. Tofu is synonymous with egg now in vegan terms?
Bread was soft and toasted at the same time. This sandwich was scrumptious. The flavors and textures went really well together. Dc vegetarian is kind of a hole in the wall place, all vegan and has some good value on the menu. Nonplastic packaging. #veganisnotscary

brtjohns Gotta strongly disagree. The soya industry has proven to be one of the world's most destructive. It mostly takes place in the Amazon. Vast wildlife habitat is cleared, killing directly or indirectly countless species in order to feed a few. Plus, the large majority of it isnt produced organic, not even nongmo. I make an exception for small restaurants, perhaps I shouldnt, but never buy soy anything from grocery stores unless organic and local.Reply
sunshineyum Ok sorry, didn't know we were on our soapboxes for things we ourselves posted...my bad. Tofu Very Very terrible, do not consume unless from bespoke outlets. Reply
