Review of WOAP 2021 Burger at Mockingbird by eviex

Rings of Seitan - Mockingbird’s 2021 Welly On a Plate Burger. Cornflake crusted seitan 'chicken' with herb citrus salad, red cabbage slaw, 'cheese' disc, cos, spicy mayonnaise and spicy mango chutney in a purple Zaida's bun, with curly fries and popping candy. $24 NZD

I had high hopes for this burger - it looked and sounded really impressive… I was quite apprehensive about the popping candy but didn’t even notice it. The Seitan patty was delicious, as were the curly fries, but the cheese disk was quite tough and chewy and ended up taking over.

Overall this burger was tasty and a generous portion, but could have been better executed. Regardless, I’ll keep going back to Mockingbird for their friendly service and generally delicious and creative vegan food 🍔🍟 #burger #veganburger #wellingtonvegan #curlyfries
