I couldn’t find my gardein fishless fillets in Pak n Save, which may be a cheaper supermarket but seem to have less vegan options than Countdown. Shame as I was having fun seeing the confusion on my family’s face as I spoke about my fishless fillets, beef-less beef and cheese-less cheese! I thought these were burger patties but in fact they are mini cakes, seeming to mimic the flavours and a bit of the texture of Thai fish cakes. They worked well in the burger and gave it a mild, Thai sweet chilli zing. Good nutritionals with the iron & B12 too.
