Review of Chickpea Omlette at Lexi's Healthy Eatery by nicola89

A chickpea omlette chock-full of mushrooms, spinach and avo. It's tasty and a good portion size! As always with Lexis, I feel it's overpriced considering the basic, whole foods ingredients that are used.

gloomyvegan maybe it's made with chickpea flour. I've looked for chickpea omelette recipes before and they're all made with the flour which is way more expensive Reply
nicola89 Hi there :) Chickpea flour is a staple in Indian cooking, so you'll have better luck finding it well-priced at smaller markets. There's a markup at trendy health food stores. Xx2 likesReply

globalvegan Chickpea flour is around R20-R30 a kg. Staple in my pantry and so economical. 2 likesReply
gloomyvegan where do you buy yours? every time I've seen it in health sections in food stores, it's at least R150 for a small little packet 1 likeReply
nicola89 They really do raise the price 😅 Eastern Temptations in Emmarentia might have, otherwise there's an online store called The Spice Emporium which is really reasonable. Reply
globalvegan Try one of Indian grocery shops. The Spice Co in Randburg or Aandals in Midrand 1 likeReply
