Tomato & Basil Soup at Prana Cafe — Potato's Review (Jul 5, 2021)

I was excited for this because I assumed it would be somewhat creamy.. but no, this was pure tomato 😱 I love tomato flavored soup and I can handle sourness pretty well, but god this was too much even for me. VERY sour. Not much basil flavor either. I struggled to finish this :(
I would have liked some kind of creaminess (like single cream), umami and more basil flavor.

There were good things about it of course: the texture was wonderfully smooth and the toasts were nice and buttery. But these factors sadly didn’t make up for how sour it was. Prana is such a great place and they work hard to make tasty food, so I hope they will work on this one more in the future.
