Review of Pappardelle pasta with mushroom medley at Donato & Co. by doglover1

I went to this restaurant because everyone in our group wanted to go there. Nowadays, every restaurant offers at least one vegan option plus salads and veggie sides. Sadly, this restaurant did not have a single vegan option! Even the salads had cheese, egg or shrimp with dairy based dressings. All the vegetarian dishes were built around cheese. The only dish I could veganize was the Pappardelle pasta with mushroom medley. Requested no cheese, but was disappointed with the flavor. It was rather bland. I feel like the dish was dependent on the cheese and there was no consideration of how it would taste without cheese. Plus I feel it was a little pricey. $20 for a pasta dish seems like a lot. This is not a place for vegans.
