Review of Handmade Vegan Katsu Curry at Saute-San by aishahalattas

A very satisfying meal without being overly heavy. I don’t know what they used as the meat replacement but it was perfectly crispy and succulent and soaked up the curry nicely. The curry itself had the traditional Japanese curry starchiness however spice wise I felt it had more Indian tasting spices which although unexpected, still tasted great and worked with the rest of the dish. I like that they gave a decent amount of cabbage too and not just an awkward sprinkling of it to the side like I often see. If I’m being petty, the rice was a bit clumpier than I would’ve liked but that may be due to takeaway too. Glad I got this at 20% off during these heightened measures period, as it is a bit pricy at the normal price point of $17 +
