The texture of the patty was interesting. Not quite like typical mock meat patties. Had

a bit of a black pepper flavour. My sister and I discussed what we thought it was made of.
Not too bad to be honest.

Could have had more curry. Good amount of rice and veggies. I did think that it tasted quite similar to typical Japanese curry.

Would order again

This was a really good attempt at a meat-free alternative with the katsu and it

wasn’t too bad. Just that I’ve tried the texture could be firmer. The curry portion could have been a lot more generous, but taste wise, I have no issues. Paid about $17 for this but think it could be sold at 14-15:/

A very satisfying meal without being overly heavy. I don’t know what they used as

the meat replacement but it was perfectly crispy and succulent and soaked up the curry nicely. The curry itself had the traditional Japanese curry starchiness however spice wise I felt it had more Indian tasting spices which although unexpected, still tasted great and worked with the rest of the dish. I like that they gave a decent amount of cabbage too and not just an awkward sprinkling of it to the side like I often see. If I’m being petty, the rice was a bit clumpier than I would’ve liked but that may be due to takeaway too. Glad I got this at 20% off during these heightened measures period, as it is a bit pricy at the normal price point of $17 +

This tastes really good although it is on the pricier side ($17.90). The “chicken” strips

aren’t like the traditional soya mock meat and is made with mushrooms and other stuff and tastes excellent. The katsu curry has a hint of pepper and is nice but it was served less in quantity. Worth a try. Water not served along with the item. On the menu beside the item there was 1 chili but it wasn’t spicy at all. Very mild pepper taste at max. Allium Free.

Omg this was so delicious but so expensive! $17.90 is the normal price if I

remember correctly. The mock meat was super flavorful with a lovely texture. The Japanese curry was fantastic! It was perfect with the Japanese rice, and they gave a decent amount of veg. I wouldve brought more of my own containers if I'd known they were gonna separate the rice and curry. Feel their food is so overpriced though or I would buy it more frequently. The prices were already high to begin with and they seem to have been marked up even more.

The curry tasted more like an Indian curry than the typical sweetJapanese curry, surprisingly. The

fried mock meat was alright, not the best I've tried and it looked rather pale.

This is yumms
The curry is nice and light the Japanese style
The ‘meat’ in it was

also tasty and did not taste weird or mock meat’y.

My meat eating friend who’s been wanting to try the food here was so blown away by d dishes we ordered. She agreed when I say tht their orh luak is really quite phenomenal.

I just wish there’s more vege in it but hey,not a big issue cos this was good.

I think it is somewhat rare to get a vegan katsu curry, so I guess

this was nice to try once, although I think there are probably better alternatives elsewhere, and way better dishes to try at Saute.
