Mangajo

This was my #lunch the other day. This “milanesa” is great 😊 the flavor is delish.
Maybe a bit greasy and thin. But is ready to cook for 5 min in a pan or even in the microwave oven (🤨 not my choice)
Because the package contains 4 units later in the afternoon we prepared “tortas de milanesa” they were just great !! I will buy it again for sure ✅
These Milanesas are made of amaranth

🤓 #nerdyfact about amaranth/amaranthus the plant was highly important in Mesoamerica together with corn and beans the amaranth was fundamental is our ancestors diet.
The plant itself is resistant to droughts and it has a high content in proteins, calcium, iron and vitamin C.
Nowadays scientists are studying its resistant characteristics (in a genetic level) in order to later improve other important crops (genetic edition) which would be a posible solution to counteract climate change

rikesh Haha now the more I think about it Abi, chopped broccoli in tacos might actually work well! Obviously we can still put on loads of guac! 😜🥦 🥑 🌮 1 likeReply
