Hazelnuts & Cocoa spread 🍫 #chocoholic
I always make my own healthier vegan Nutella at home with only 3 ingredients (hazelnuts, pure cocoa powder & coconut sugar). But this time my mom decided to buy this vegan Nutella from LIDL to give it to my younger brother. He likes it better than mine... 😪 It’s sweeter and has a consistency that resembles more the original Nutella. I personally dislike it. But everyone at home likes it 😂 I guess I’m more of a homemade & healthier food kinda person 🤷🏻‍♀️
Ingredients: sugar, rapeseed oil, hazelnuts 13%, palm oil (☹️), 7,5% lean cacao powder, maltodextrin, emulsifier (sunflower lecithin).
Very high in sugars.

pbsofia Always 🥰 Mine does! You have to really grind it very well and for quite a long time in the food processor. I use a little food processor - ideal for making nuts’ butter! I have to be very patient and stop when the machine is warming up (because of the constant processing). I take around 20-30 minutes to make a Nutella, peanut butter, almond butter, etc. 1 likeReply
flouredfingers I think my problem is just in the sugar.. I need to either get a spice grinder to make a powdered coconut sugar or find one already sold that way.. 1 likeReply
pbsofia Ohh I see! You need to use a powdered sugar in that case... Mine actually grinds the sugar very well! But as I said, I have to be very patient until it’s completely processed and obtained a very smooth, creamy consistency! 🍦1 likeReply

pbsofia Nop! I don’t measure the hazelnuts (it’s as much as you like) but I usually put 1 tea spoon of cocoa powder & 1-2 table spoons of coconut sugar (depends on how sweet you like it). The measures are really just up to you and your personal taste!!1 likeReply
