Wow, this dish was definitely an example of never judging a dish on how it looks. Had a lengthy chat with the consultant brought to work with this business. This humble dish brimmed with flavour. The curry was fragrant, scrumptious, rich and thick without being too overpowering or cloying. Too often, curries would make me bored of the samieness of it all but this one kept me engaged and intrigued until the last bite. And wow, the helping of the (no chicken) was fabulously generous :)

This was also my first taste of the Vegetarian butcher (vb) product and this no chicken one was definitely vegan. The texture is so similar to the heura one. It worked brilliantly and did not have an overtly soy aftertaste. It was perfect and immensely like my distant memories of chicken meat. Worked perfectly in this dish!

For strict vegans, it is a quick Google search to find out which vb products are fully vegan and which are not. The staff there were absolutely delightful and helpful in informing me which product was used in which dish. And with that I did my own research on the spot.

It was absolutely delightful and delicious and I can't wait to eat it again. Normally served with yellow noodles, they accommodated our need for white rice based noodles since we have tatrazine intolerances.
