Review of Tlc Tastes Like Chicken - Subway by rikesh
Well this lived up to the hype! For a Friday lunch treat, I had the T.L.C. (Tastes Like Chicken) sub which was incredible!! The ‘chicken’ texture tasted very real so this would be perfect for those transitioning to a vegan diet. I had this with the garlic aioli and sweet onion sauces which are both plant based too (had the sauces wrapped separately to avoid having a soggy sub when I got home!). A shout out to a fellow jalapeño lover @ameriamber All in all, highly recommended! 😋 💚

julesbateman I had the wrap and honestly didn’t like it that much, it tasted like raw chicken 😅 quite bland overall. Maybe it was just my usual bad luck! Glad you liked it 😁1 likeReply
rikesh Ahh that’s a shame Julia. For me it tasted more like chargrilled chicken plus the 2 sauces combined well with the pieces and the rest of the sub. As you say, may just have been bad luck but I guess there’s still plenty of new vegan food out there to try...happy days!! 🙌💚1 likeReply

rikesh Thanks Soph, yeah I thought i’d be cheeky to ask for the sauces separately and I was pleasantly surprised that they had little pots to do it. I loved this sub!! As we chatted about though, I wish i’d got a footlong...this was demolished in about 2 bites!! 🤦🏽♂️🌱Reply

clare-cooling I fell out with subway - I once ordered a vegan wrap which was fine til I opened it and found actual cheese in it 🤷🤷🤷 never using them again 1 likeReply
rikesh Aww it sucks to hear that Clare. I’d be annoyed if I had that experience as well. I was going to order this on deliveroo but I was a little hesitant in case they’d actually put in real chicken or cheese rather than the vegan version by mistake! So I ended up going in store for peace of mind 😅1 likeReply
