This all-vegan pizza was topped with mozzarella, ricotta, sausage, sliced garlic, fresh basil, grated parmesan, sea salt, and red pepper flakes. The ricotta on top of the mozzarella was an irresistibly delicious combination of creaminess, and the garlic cloves and sausage crumbles added some pleasantly contrasting flavors and textures. This is a Detroit-style pizza, made from naturally leavened sourdough. Known for their square shape, these thick 8 x 10-inch pizzas are a delicate balance between crunch and a soft airy crumb.
