Review of Vegetarian Mixed Veg Rice at Koufu Food Court by iluvnippon

Happen to be at Galaxis around lunch hour to send in a faulty electrical appliance for repair. Amidst the up market eateries on the vicinity, Jing Xin Yuan Vegetarian, located at B2 Koufu Food Court of Fusionopolis One, stands out as one of the more wallet-friendly options. Highly recommended for those who are looking for a quick budget meal. We avoided ordering mock meat as we were unsure if they contain egg or dairy during processing. Nothing beats a whole food plant based diet anyway! The stir fried vegetables and the potatoes were very well done with good wok hei fragrance, and the curry sauce was delicious too. This simple yet filling, unpretentious meal cost us S$3.60 and given the generous portions, we think the price is very reasonable! Three cheers for their affordable vegan-friendly food.

herbimetal Wow. For mock meat I can't be sure so I usually close one eye unless I know it has egg or dairy. Can't really avoid if you're ordering dishes like noodles.1 likeReply
iluvnippon Yes you're right! We can never be sure, especially if it is a vegetarian eatery (where eggs, dairy and honey are consumed), so the onus is on us to be careful. Good thing this is an economic rice stall so we can choose the items we want!1 likeReply
herbimetal It depends on the individual, for me I still consume and I post them here, unless I specifically know it's not vegan. Usually sellers won't know either.1 likeReply
