Mock Drumstick at Kwan Inn Vegetarian Food 觀音齋 — Anne's Review (Aug 11, 2020)

Saw the drum stick & could not resist ordering it. Before the world Beyond & Impossible meats, the chinese mock meat were made from natural food. This vegan drum stick is actually rolled up bean curd skin. It does not have any flavouring to make it taste like chicken as it was never meant to. It just simply looks like one. When drizzled with blavk sauce & chillie sauce, the taste of the condiments and our imagination is sufficient. The dish is very well presented with cucumber and sauces, considering this is a coffee shop stall. The taste is great. Only the price is strangely high like real drumstick. Think it may be more worthwhile when ordered with rice instead of on its own. I will probably order this again.
