Review of Vinegar "Pork Trotter" (Vegan) at Ci Yan by marigoldish
This black gooey mess exceeded my expectations! This is only my 2nd time trying this dish (the first time was the meat version some years back and I didn't like it).
The vinegar was rich, sour and savoury. The ingredients were black fungus, mushrooms, dates and some mock meat chunks. The ginger was surprisingly tasty and not fibrous.
I didn't finish the soup and the auntie chided me for wasting it as it's supposedly very nutritious :s Erm auntie, u should have told me earlier!
