My favourite comfort food or when my body needs healing is a bowl of hot porridge. This is the Cantonese style of thick congee. The duck is actually pulled mushroom stems, so it is great not to have mock meat. There are tofu cubes and green peas with a generous braise gravy that makes it yum!
