Review of Cowpea Bun at Almond Bakery (Vegetarian) by ibshl

Been finding for vegetarian/vegan bakeries near me and found Almond Bakery! Most of their items have been sold out when I was there (~6pm). They’re very generous with their filling and the filling isn’t too mushy, with a nice bite since the beans are not overly mashed (you can still see bits of the beans). If you ask me how does the cowpea filling (or as they call it 眉豆 in Mandarin) taste like, I think it’s almost between a red bean and lotus paste. The bun isn’t overly sweet which is great! Their other baked goods are also priced affordably.
