Review of Vegan Local Strawberry at Owowcow Creamery by jessnickel

This was the best vegan ice cream I’ve ever had. It was sooo light and not overly sweet. I didn’t feel bogged down or sick afterwards. Owowcow has a philosophy of using fresh, clean ingredients and they carried that philosophy over to their Owow(no)cow line. They use Elmhurst plant milks, cane sugar, pea protein, arrowroot, etc. as a base. For this flavor they roasted fresh strawberries from a local farm. The effort to be clean pays off with a crisp flavor that doesn’t have any “weirdness” AKA gums/emulsifiers of So Delicious or even Ben and Jerry’s vegan ice cream. Only drawback is the price. $7 for two scoops. But I can’t stress how delicious this ice cream is.
