Review of Mushroom Cheese at Love Handle by kaytee

My wife and I, who are vegans for 13 years, discovered this new vegan burger place purely by accident in May. The list of burgers was too good to pass, and all of them had the impossible patty in them. We tried 4 of the burgers, and this review is about the mushroom cheese burger.
In the CB period, we drove over and picked up the parcel from Ann Siang Hill. The mushroom cheese burger which came with an Impossible™ patty, enoki mushrooms (I think) in a creamy (vegan mayo?), one slice of melted vegan cheese, caramelised onions, burger sauce, and I think, lettuce. The homemade brioche buns remained firm (after a 20 minute drive), and no sogginess crept through, which was already impressive. The smell of the burger wafting through the car while we drove back made my stomach talk.
The burger itself was quite big in size, and in the first bite had a lot of flavors coming through. A bit of tanginess, and just the right amount of sweetness. The buns were soft and chewy, and the patty was succulent. The taste of the patty was rich and although it's been more than 2 decades since I've consumed any animal flesh, I am willing to bet that no carnist would be able to differentiate between actual animal flesh and this if they weren't told at the start about it. The sauces weren't overpowering in taste and flavor, and allowed the patty to maintain it's taste, and the caramelized onions and lettuce to maintain their crunch.

The entire experience was very fulfilling, and both; my stomach and my senses were full at the end of it. A must try for everyone! This is going to be a regular outlet for us for sure.
