Review of Satay at Victor's Vegetarian Food by iluvnippon

Taste is subjective, but this is hands down the best satay (and peanut sauce) we've tried, even over places selling traditional satay.

The soy chunks are chewy and flavourful, and they have a nice barbequed fragrance.

At 80 cents per skewer (minimum order of 10), the price is totally reasonable, and it serves as a good counter argument to the claim that it is harder to find the right ingredients to prepare vegan food and so we have no choice but to charge an exorbitant price. There is a reason uncle Victor is still in business after so many years.

The two down sides are
(1) they use styrofoam plates and bowls.
(2) as they have to cater to Buddhist vegetarians, they don't serve onions.

That said, this plate of awesomeness is totally satisfying! Try it and you'd be going back for more!

iluvnippon @waisum yes!!! We didn't take a good photo of the otah so will review next time. It's really legit. Totally no difference from the traditional otah in terms of taste.Reply
