Food Republic was founded on the concept of serving well-loved street food housed in the air-conditioned comfort of shopping malls. Since the opening of its first flagship outlet in Singapore at Wisma Atria in 2005, the brand has revolutionised the food court scene in Singapore by being the first to introduce quintessential thematic dining experiences, bringing together the best of hawker and restaurant fare under a single roof. Promoting the appreciation of cultures and heritage in Asian cuisine, Food Republic continues to hand-pick reputable, dedicated hawkers to reflect the authentic tastes that people love, while providing an immersive experience for all senses, which includes live cooking demonstrations delivered through each stall’s open-kitchen concept. Some of the well-loved food stalls at Food Republic includes Thye Hong Hokkien Mee, which saw its roots back to Singapore in the 1970's at Glutton's Square. Also popular is Li Xin Teochew Fishball Noodles with its homemade fishballs since 1968. Beef noodle lovers will remember the Scotts Hwa Heng Beef Noodles with its sole surviving stall at Food Opera. In Singapore, there are 12 Food Republic outlets islandwide and 1 Food Opera outlet located in the heart of Orchard Road.
