OMG I loved this 😍 it just goes so well with the fabulous curries and it’s so fragrant! I much preferred this rice to the breads.

herbimetal @veganspicegirl it was for abillionveg team lunch and Jaggi’s does a lot of vegan options! Many places I’ve asked for biryani said they use vegetable oil, not ghee too.Reply
choyyuen @herbimetal These days business oriented restaurants have to be vegan-friendly. E.g. Gokul omits onion & garlic in all their Indian & Chinese food. I have invited buddhist monk to Gokul; his fave dish is Gokul's vegan briyani. 😃Reply
choyyuen @herbimetal yeah. It's rare to hv indian food w/o onion & garlic. The monk went there several times, he knew about their vegan briyani. He ate briyani there & "tabao" briyani back. 😂 Reply
choyyuen @herbimetal 3 reasons 1. I'm a Buddhist since young. 2. Taste of onion ok, but garlic smell lingers in the mouth for so long. 😫 3. My master told us onion & garlic attracts -ve energy, so I try not to take. Try only lah...sometimes can't avoid. Reply

choyyuen @veganspicegirl yes, I agreed. I have experienced that, very rude, maybe different management. I went to the one at little Indian. They are very friendly and attentive. 😃Reply

choyyuen It's good to have a community to share and exchange info. You raised a good point which many vegans might not aware. Most briyani has ghee, vegans must always check. Thanks for sharing! 😄Reply
