Got my pumpkin, vegetable fritters and broccoli with brown rice, portion is a little too much but overall nice ( a lot like other Chinese vegetarian stalls in Singapore ) slightly expensive this was about $3.70

herbimetal $3.70 for 3 dishes is pretty decent. I’ve paid a lot more beforeReply
meixin2603 @herbimetal hmmm but was it worth the price? Reply
herbimetal @meixin2603 I would say it’s quite worth itReply
herbimetal I would also get some tofu for protein. I try to get protein in my meals as much as possible Reply
meixin2603 @herbimetal I love toufu but steamed ones are hard to find, that is cheap and delicious too. Besides toufu, what other types of protein could vegans eat? Reply
herbimetal @meixin2603 that’s true. Usually vegetarian stalls have tofu and mock meat. Other kinds of protein include tempeh, legumes like chickpeas, edamame, beans, lentils etc, nuts and plant milks like soy. You can snack on nuts. Quinoa, nutritional yeast, chia seeds and some veggies like broccoli and spinach also have more protein. You can do a search if you want more details. Reply
bigfatnyancat apart from mock meats made from gluten, chinese veg stalls usually also hv soy skin based stuff like soy knots and rolls etc, gives a variety of texture. jiayou you are doing great!Reply
