This is $6.80, less 10% if you have the food junction card. I bought this because the smell of this was so strong and delicious smelling when I went into the food court haha. My first impression was damn that’s a big bowl of kueh! It’s actually pretty filling. The Kueh sticks together tho and its hard to eat them individually. Very different kind of toppings as normally vegetarian kueh is just a bunch of mock meats and tau Kwa. I like that there are actual vegetables and there’s you tiao too?? What a weird and unique combination but it actually taste quite good with kueh chap haha. I thought there was no mock meat but it was actually hidden at the bottom, only one type tho, it’s the “fatty meat”. Other toppings that can’t be seen include, peanuts, mushrooms, tau pok and preserved vegetable(mei cai). I like the peanuts as it’s soft and full of flavour. Mushroom taste can be quite strong, I could even taste it when I eat the tau pok. I don’t like the taste mushrooms so I gave it to someone else! The soup of the kueh was pretty bland but the chilli sauce makes up for it.(take note: you have to ask the staff for the specific kueh chap chilli sauce). The staff was very friendly too! Overall, good and interesting twist on kueh chap for lunchtime but a little on the pricey side especially when it’s just in the food court. #crf
