Unfortunately this pic doesn’t do the dish justice, because it looks a little bit messy in the take-out bowl. But this daal bowl is not only delicious but beautifully presented too. The main ingredients are red lentils, cauliflower, a rhubarb mango chutney and coconut milk. It’s so rich and flavorful, it makes for a very satisfying meal. A wonderful Tikka Masala dish served at the fully plant-based Roots bistro. This dish ingredients are Golden Peanut Curry, planted.pulled Not Pork, Pea, Carrot, Peanut Crumble, Coconut Milk, Coriander and Lime. It’s a very flavorful soupy curry, not too spicy and in a generous portion. The price for this dish 24.9 CHF, making it one of the most expensive dishes in the menu. Unfortunately this picture doesn’t give it justice, but this dish usually looks very nice. This time I had to take it to go so it wasn’t served in a fancy ceramic bowl and the ingredients moved around a little bit making it look a little messy. But it’s also a super healthy lunch: Quinoa, beetroot hummus,Broccoli, Tofu, Avocado, sweet potatoes, Cashew-Dressing and salad. Everything tastes so fresh and flavorful. It is a little bit expensive (22 chf) so for this reason this cannot be my lunch on a regular basis, but I like to treat myself to it once in a while! Vegan sandwich made with homemade sourdough bread, beet hummus, roasted eggplants, red cabbage, gherkins and mango sauce. It’s definitely a creative combo, however I wasn’t a fan of this sandwich, mostly because of the bread, which in my opinion tasted a little bit stale. The price was 11.90 chf. Portion wasn’t huge but neither too small. You should have guessed by now that I am an iced matcha girl 🍵💅 This time I tried it from Roots, a vegan restaurant with multiple locations across Switzerland. Since the whole restaurant is vegan I didn’t need to specify the non-dairy alternative used instead of milk, which was by default oat milk. The matcha was very good, unsweetened and refreshing. Sono andata a pranzo con una collega durante la settimana. È piacevole vedere che c'era la fila per entrare e che i posti erano tutti occupati. Ho preso questa bowl di daal con lenticchie rosse, riso, cavolo, mango: i sapori erano ben bilanciati tra loro. Unica pecca è che non era calda abbastanza.
