One of the monthly mains which was marked as vegan: gnocchi with tomato sauce, garlic crème-fraîche and olive crumble. A simple dish yet very tasty and well presented. This was an amazing vegan dish available as part of the daily lunch menu at Piu. It was roasted cauliflower on a bed of hummus with baby spinach and a creme-fraiche-like sauce. The taste was absolutely amazing as the presentation of the dish. It also looked like a pretty healthy and balanced meal. I was very pleasantly surprised to see that at lunch time this restaurant had a fully vegan option as a daily dish. So I opted for it: it was a vegan risotto with a fruity flavor. I don’t remember exactly what fruit was in the ingredients but it worked very well and didn’t make the risotto too sweet. The presentation was also excellent. The price for the dish, including a salad was 26 chf which I found pretty fair. Service was also good.
