This was definitely one of the better 🌱 dishes at #yellowpot. Fried mushrooms coated with an avocado mash that was really well seasoned with red chili 🌶and garlic. One of the few dishes worth ordering there! For authentic #sichuan cuisine that's also plant-based head to Si Wei Mao Cai #siweimaocai on Mosque Street or Shisen Hanten #shisenhanten on Orchard if you're looking for something fancy! Tip: We sort of judge sichuan restaurants by the quality of the mapo tofu. Here they refused to make it without beef 🤬 and the few friends at the table that had it said it was awful. The only dish left standing. So I wouldn't go back to Yellow Pot unless they #tryharder! #sixsenses #singapore

Everyone at the table was surprised when this arrived! It was half melted... The sorbet that we could salvage was really good, but just kind of surprised that the folks at #yellowpot would serve sorbet like this. Had to ask the staff at #yellowpot to make this because it was the one dish I could be sure they wouldn't use eggs in. The button mushrooms, spring onions and red chili peppers 🌶 were a nice touch! My favorite dish at #yellowpot. It's a very pretty restaurant but super light on mushrooms with avocado, some of the sauteed veggies and their fried rice (see my other reviews, and be sure to specify no eggs!). The eggplant was my favorite dish. Spring onions, garlic, tiny button mushrooms and a delicious sweet & sour sauce that also had a nice spicy kick to it. Given #sixsenses is supposed to be health conscious and modern we were excited to try their rendition of sichuan cuisine and expecting more plant-based options at #yellowpot. Pretty disappointed and had to ask for a lot of changes to get anything we could eat. They assured me that these spring rolls were made without eggs but I'm still not sure. They tasted fine, not something I'd typically order because it's deep-fried but with the limited options we had them. Average at best. The plum sauce was the highlight. The sautéed veggies at #yellowpot were definitely some of my favorite things along with the Sweet & Sour Eggplant (see my other review). These spring onions were perfectly seasoned with fried garlic.
