Ooh it's more stuff from Vegfest that I had forgotten about ☺️ And in fact this was one of the best things I had this year! The #bananacake had excellent texture, just the right level of moisture (for me, that is, and I do like my #cake dry 😛), and the #raspberry crumble on top offered #berrylover sweetness as well as a bit of crunchiness. How fun 🙂 It's been ages since I've been to their bakery in PJ, need to make a trip soon! 🥺

At least my trip to Wownana wasn't a wasted one; this #chocolatetart was outstanding 😋 Not cheap at RM21, but well worth it if you ask me 😊 The presentation was so good, and the flavours also came together very beautifully. The crust was moderately buttery while offering good bite/support, while the creme was a mix of more overtly #chocoholic notes with gentler more generic ones. Beneath all that art was a thin #custard like layer, which was like the final, crowning touch, just that the crowning happened deep in the underbelly 😛 My #sweettooth was happy, and this is yet another artefact that places Wownana right at the top of my #bestpicks for #bakedgoods in Malaysia 🙌

Hmm 😐 These were distinctly unimpressive, with a lack of crispness to the bite. Perhaps they were just a bit stale, serves me right for picking up ostensibly leftover stock from #hariraya. I'd had their #biscuits before though and remember them quite fondly 🥲 The #chocolatechips provided at least a bit of #chocoholic relief. But yeah, I think this batch has seen better days

I love this place so much haha, they do fantastic baked goods and fantastic beverages 🙂 One other thing that I love is #espresso, even if my feed seems to suggest I drink a lot of mylk coffee. That's completely untrue, espresso is still 4 of my 5 a day, just that often I can't document those here 🥲 I happened to realise that I hadn't had their espresso before, so #forthedollar I went for it this time 😛 Not great if I'm honest. It was a bit too sour/acidic, either because they used an arabica bean (just doesn't work for espresso, fight me 😏) or because they under-extracted the #coffee. So yeah, if you come here get one of their amazing mylk-based creations instead!

I think we must have gone on an off day - the regular management and staff were perhaps off for CNY because I didn't recognise anyone who served us, potentially they were all temps during the festive period 🤔 They certainly didn't know how to prepare this #croissant for serving, it was heated up but not enough for the exterior to crisp up. You can see that on the inside the #cheese didn't melt at all (and I don't even like cheese 😩), and trust me #blackpepper #steak is a flavour that doesn't really work at room temperature plus 10 🙄 They also charged us for and served us something that we didn't order 😒 I trust that normal service will soon be resumed!
