It’s not everyday you find vegan cc wontons so when I do find them I over indulge. 🤪 these are crispy fried wontons filled with vegan cream cheese and lion’s mane mushrooms, served with sweet chili sauce. I ate them all. By myself. In one sitting. 🤣

Omg! This was by far the best food I had on my visit to Raleigh. This dish changes based on seasonal produce. This summer plate was made up of Covington sweet potato confit medallions served over sun-gold tomato, bi-color corn & butterbean succotash sautéed with Umaro "Bacon" and topped with a mixed herb chimichurri.

Take out often doesn’t always look pretty and this also didn’t travel well back to my hotel especially in the summer heat 🤪 Regardless, it tasted 💯 It had a pretzel crust and peanut butter mousse topping with chocolate pieces. Delectable 🤤

I love that they serve zero proof cocktails here which are all uniquely concocted by their lovely bartender. This one is made of ROOT BEER SIMPLE, HICKORY SYRUP, SLINGSHOT COFFEE COLD BREW, LEMON, AQUAFABA, APPLE CIDER RINSE. I’m not a coffee drinker but this was delicious nevertheless. Sometimes it pays to go out a limb and try something you normally wouldn’t.

This bowl was very flavorful and didn’t skimp on the spice. It contains rice noodles in a peanut sauce with mushrooms and seasonal veggies. It’s topped with Sriracha peanuts which is probably what gives it a kick. Found this place on a visit to Raleigh and it’s 🔥

Another amazing dish from fiction kitchen! This farmers market plate was made up puff pastry mock chicken pot pie filled with savory gravy, local broccoli, carrots, onions, potatoes, and green peas served on a bed of garlic creamed local lacinato kale and spinach. It was seriously the best pot pie:) The pastry crust was buttery and flake and the filling was amazing. The creamed greens were great too. Such a great restaurant🌱 #veganisnotscary #veganpotpie

I was so excited to see this double smash donut burger from fiction kitchen available for takeout. It was made up of a Bitten Bakery glazed donut, two Impossible patties, cheddar cheese, bacon and an apple bourbon BBQ sauce. It was really good. It was definitely super rich so my husband and I shared it. The flavors were awesome!! The state fair is currently happening in NC so this was their take on fair food. If you are ever in the Raleigh area it’s definitely worth checking this place out:) #veganisnotscary

One of my favorite things about fiction kitchen is that they are always switching up their menu options. This week they offered this black bean dip which was very tasty and filling. The dip was covered in vegan cheese, and also came with pico de gallo. It was served with tortilla chips. It was a very large portion, so it could be great for sharing with other people. #vegandip #veganisnotscary

This was a very tasty and filling salad from fiction kitchen. It was made up Farmers' mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, red onion, pepperoncini, NC candied pecans, vegan pepperoni and housemade tofu feta cheese in an herb-cider vinaigrette. All of the ingredients were very fresh. I really enjoyed that vegan tofu feta. The vegan pepperoni is not my favorite in terms of taste, but the texture is very nice. #vegansalad #veganisnotscary

I love that the fiction kitchen lets you have their vegan pork barbecue as a side. I love to try out their appetizers but it’s nice to add this for some protein :-) it is a large portion and it has such a great flavor and texture. I would recommend getting their side of hot sauce to add on top because it really adds a lot. $5.00. #veganbbq
