I was half expecting the #congee style porridge so was a wee bit surprised when this came. But hey boo on me for my sheer ignorance. Teochew style #porridge is pretty much like this- you pour the #soup over #rice This is nice, loads of vege in it #caixin #carrots #softtofu #mockprawns and 2 huge pieces of that #beancurdskin #veganfish Not very wise to hv dish on a crazy hot day but was feeling a lil under d weather so its been a soup or porridge week at tht time. 😏

Comforting soup with a healthy serve of veggies and noodles. The broth is very very flavourful, and full of veggies and good stuff. #soup #meesua #noodles I realise our family has been coming to the Cosy Corner for well over ten years now, and with good reason. People are lovely, food is tasty and reasonably priced, and service is fast. Fully vegetarian with mostly vegan-friendly dishes. They do both personal dishes like this and dishes to share, therefore they’re are good place whether i’m by myself or with with company. No eggs, dishes with dairy are labelled clearly. Other major allergens aren’t labelled as clearly, so you will have to ask. The staff are usually happy to answer questions about these. Part of the ZiZai family. An amazing eggplant dish. This was really yummy. Cooked well. Lightly spiced, and tasty as ever. Makes a great main dish to have with a side of rice or noodle. #brinjal #aubergine #eggplant. A nice tasty dish. Veggie restaurant with tasty vegan-friendly meals, cooked fresh, fast and friendly. Prices are fairly reasonable. Most dishes come in different sizes, great for sharing. I always love that option. No egg in the dishes, and dishes with dairy are labelled. Other major allergens aren’t labelled unfortunately, but staff are always patient with my queries, so you might try asking them. This was on their list of specialties. It’s not three cups of tofu nor three types of tofu like I initially thought it was, just the way it’s cooked I am told(?). Well anyways it’s pretty fragrant, cooked with some basil and dried chilli, and the sauce was quite something. Some spice, some sweetness and salty too, maybe a little too salty for me. Also, they’ve used a more chewy tofu in this instance. I don’t know if i’ll order this again. Sweet potato leaves are a family staple when we eat out. This dish was cooked with a bit of sambal as well, but you can request it non-spicy. Cooked with bits of ginger as well, which brought a little something extra to the party.
