Oman Air Catering - الطيران العُماني التموين

Oman Air 🇴🇲 has, like most major airlines, an option to pre-order vegan meals for their flights. On 23-02 I was served this on my flights from Kuala Lumpur - Muscat - Frankfurt. #airlinefood #vegantravel #omanair First meal was warm #bread with vegan butter, salt and pepper. A tasty corn salad with a whole cherry tomato and tiny red bell pepper 🫑 pieces. The main was some delicious #rice (moist, fluffy, well seasoned) with a #veggie stew. It included a huge piece of #tomato 🍅, yellow and green #zucchini pieces, and #chickpeas, all in a tomato gravy sauce kinda thing. It was good but I missed some proper protein like tofu. #Dessert was a #sago #pudding which was incredibly bland and didn’t make it into my stomach. Tried a bite and left the rest. Some sago pearls were still hard and undercooked lol. The sugar syrup with it didn’t help, there was almost none of it and it somehow wasn’t sweet enough. An okay first meal As a #snack we received a #sandwich 🥪 It was the same bread as with the first meal, filled with sautéed veggies and #curry spices. A bit soggy already but nicely seasoned! Onto the next flight, next meal. Bread again, this time with non vegan butter 🥲 A fresh #raw #salad with carrots, tomatoes, cucumber and a #lemon slice 🍋 Warm dish was nicely done #basmatirice with a yellow lentil #dal and a #mushroom & pea stew! Tasty! But too much rice (or too little stew/dal). #Dessert was another sago pudding, but this time with coconut cream and #mango sauce! This was good! #coconutlover Lastly, another sandwich. 🥪 Well seasoned sautéed veggies again, spiced differently than before. All in all: Pretty good airplane food. What I noticed was that Oman Air served one warm meal and one sandwich per flight, whereas Kuwait Airways served two warm meals and a snack per flight in Economy.

Inflight meals
