I agreed to be a #guineapig (surely that term is speciesist? 🤔) only because they asked and they asked so nicely 😄 This is their new #bananacake product which they're introducing to their outlets. It has a mild body and relies predominantly on the #walnut pieces and the molten #chocolatechips for flavour. It's RM8 for a decently sliced size 🙂

Oh yeah 😋 These guys started out with a specialisation in tacos and burritos but honestly I think they're even better at #burgers 🤭 This one made use of the fantastic #phuture #veganbeef #patty, added a bunch of #mexican to it (mainly the #chipotle #veganmayo haha), added some #chips on the side, stuck a knife right through the burger as if you hunted for those poor vegetables, and served it up to deliver no small amount of satisfaction ☺️ Would get again!

A #santan heavy (but light santan so 🤷‍♂️) #curry filled with loads of #toohealthy #vegetables, only for you to throw all your good work down the drain by virtue of the #potato #bergedil and the #deepfried crackers that came along with the oiled and spiced #whiterice - talk about #carbsforlife 💪 I needed the little pot of sambal that they added to the delivery bag, not enough spice in this for me, not when you want to go and call it a #soto 😬

Pretty decent #burger, but this part of the market is now so crowded so the bar has definitely been raised by others like Rightside! Just sticking an imperfectly crisped #veganchicken patty inside a burger bun and slapping on some identikit coleslaw may not cut it for much longer, not for RM31.80 anyway 😐 Served with a small side of #chips and chilli sauce.

Uhh nope 😢 Sala's beverages have never really convinced me in the past, and this doesn't remotely threaten to flip the script 😐 Why would anyone even think of using #kale alongside #berries? Just so weird, the two have flavours that get in each other's way 🥺 Then #banana as the base note? Talk about discord 😬

I had only ever had #tacobirria once previously (in pre-vegan times), and I remember that as being beefy rather than cheesy. So I got a rude shock when this arrived reeking of #vegancheddar #cheeze 😢 My dislike of cheese matches my dislike of coriander, I feel like puking whenever I so much as smell cheese; if anything I find that plant-based cheeses are even more pungent than dairy ones 🥴 For what it's worth the rest of the dish was decent (by the rest, I mean the 20% of the filling that was actually their excellent pulled jackfruit rather than the stupid cheese). The soft #tortilla was nicely toasted to a crisp, and the dressing was devilish and #spicy 🔥😋 But no, can't look past the cheese 😖

Serves me right for ordering something named #salad for lunch, but I was most definitely #stillhungry with this 😏 Parts of it were really good, like the #tahini, the #pumpkin, and of course the #deepfried #falafel 🤤 And the cucumber and cabbage and whatever made it feel very fresh. But yeah I need proper carbs 🥺 Been a long while since I'd got anything from Sala, principally because they've not refreshed their menu in ages, and I do things #forthedollar most days 😉

I became a Sala fan when there were few genuinely compelling vegan options in this city, and since then they have kind of fallen off my radar because they haven't put as many new things on their menu for my #forthedollar ways 😏 It took me a bout of stomach flu to finally get this "nourish me" bowl, which, as the name might suggest, is firmly into #toohealthy territory 😉 It's nothing other than the ability to choose options from all the different types of vegetables, proteins, seeds, toppings etc etc. on their menu. A #buildyourown. I used this opportunity to rekindle ties with their pretty decent grilled mushroom offering 😋 Favourite part of the meal: the pot of olive oil which I utilised to the full 😁

Ok fine i was being greedy but what’s new?! I don’t always get to eat #veganmexicanfood im SG cos they’re usually very pricey so i indulged here. This was way too much to be eaten by myself along with d tacos. But it was delicious. Mushrooms,beans,rice,veggies,tomatoes n whatever else. The only thing I felt guilty about was it was fried. But well,its delicious. And they’re very generous with the #vegancheese & #vegansourcream . Overall,i really enjoyed this #chimichanga but completely stuffed after tht I can’t even walk.

Been hearing abt this place for quite a while so finally came here for this work trip in KL. I was in d mood for #veganmexicanfood so yeah a good time to pop by. This #tacos was very very delicious- very generous with the mushrooms which was shredded pulled like the way its done with meat in pulled pork. Beautifully seasoned stir fried. The beans was good. With a generous amount of #vegannachocheeze & #vegansourcream. Veggies n tomatoes too. And they use the soft tacos which i prefer over the crispy ones. I would come back here just for ths #vegantacos
