
The nice thing about Chinese restaurants that feature mongolian BBQ is that you can have chow mein (or a side of white rice) as a starch and then load up on all sorts of vegetables like I did here. I skip the meat and also skip adding oils, but soy sauce and sesame seeds are okay. (For highly sensitive vegans: all mongolian BBQ bowls are cooked on top of the same giant circular grill, so even though I didn't add any meat to my bowl there could be some very small microscopic traces of animal protein that gets into your food from some of the other people who ordered meat in their bowls.
