Ooh, this deepfried ball of nom is just SO DEEPLY SATISFYINGLY GOOD. It's filled with grounded black sesame within, and covered with even more sesame seeds without. I can foresee myself coming back for balls and more balls.

Got some fire in my belly with this tasty dish of gong bao-style stirfry with soya 'chicken' chunks, carrots, mushrooms, dried fried chili, red chili and an unexpectedly heavenly MANY chunks of ginger! White rice provided the yin to this yang dish whipped up by Switch 2 Vegetarian, the stall that has newly replaced the previous (also) vegetarian stall at this basement foodcourt in HDB Hub.

This version of kueh kosui is infused with aromatic pandan leaves. Scrumptious with a texture akin to eggless custard - again decent quality considering this was from a foodcourt, and outsourced at that.

There's a tidy kueh assortment available at this economic beehoon and fritters stall all day, so I picked out a set of kueh (kosui and pandan) for dining in since it's not everywhere you can plate a kueh. Can't say this was excellent with hardly any fragrance from gula melaka, but it was okay.

This being CNY eve, our usual go-to vegetarian stall at Gourmet Paradise HDB Hub was closed. Which meant a quick diversion to this veganised bibimbap (omit egg and chicken) at the Seoul Delights stall. The lightly seasoned beansprouts, cucumbers, carrots and lettuce with rice and mildly sweet spicy sauce was... plain, to call it plainly.

Well, just look at this huge bowl of tapoica chunks! So indulgent even for dessert. The auntie who took my order went so far as to give me a plastic bag to do a takeaway for the leftovers because she assumed I wouldn't be able to finish it. Well, guess what - I DID, and went back to the counter proudly to return the unused bag. That's how much I love tapoica 😂

Boycotting the vegetarian booth (a certain TP signage) in favour of this; ridiculous calling price and portion at $1.60 per finger point for #veganchinesefood. Monday blues with Jing Xin Vegetarian taking over the space vacated by Makan Vegan.
