I loooove all types of dal, but vegan dal makhani is a rare find as it traditionally relies on butter and cream. This restaurant is wonderfully vegan friendly and this dish apparently uses vegan butter and vegan cream. It wasn’t quite as decadent and creamy as expected but regardless it was full flavoured and delicious. $19 and a generous serving, my partner and I weren’t overly hungry at dinner and took home some as leftovers. #dalmakhani #dal #indianrestaurant #goldcoast

The vegan menu here is off the charts! No less than 61 dishes according to their online ordering system. This was described as “vegan buttered bao, chatpate chole (chickpeas), potato, Spanish onion, lemon juice, green chilli, coriander, crispy noodles, masala”. An interesting entree, never had anything like this before. The bao was fluffy and the filling tasty. Came with a side of some sort of creamy garlic sauce, not sure exactly what it was but the waitress assured us it was vegan. #indianrestaurant #goldcoast
