These are filled with taro and definitely taste like taro, with a mild sweetness. The filling is not dry at all. These also come in 10 per dish, but as you can see, I already ate some before taking the photo.

These are filled with sesame paste that's surrounded by a thin layer of mochi (making it extra chewy!) The sesame paste itself is different than most in that it's sweet & salty rather than just sweet. They also definitely do not skimp on the filling!

I ordered almost all the veg food on the veg menu(around 10)and i think the menu is available online. But just wanted to review to FYI that they can make the “noodles with spicy sauce” and “hot and sour soup” veg too!! Also the chilli sauce is veg unlike in Asia where they put shrimps/fish in their chilli sauce when dining in. The 2 above mentioned dishes were too sweet for my liking, would be more authentic w/o that much sweetness. And the price point is much more expensive than in Asia maybe the positioning is different.

I love all of the garlicky and umami vegetable dishes at Din Tai Fung. This is definitely one of my favorite dishes on their whole menu (and it's a crowd favorite as well). It's packed with a ton of flavor (don't run away because it's 'only' string beans).

I love these dumplings. It's difficult to find vegan dumplings (they're called vegetarian in their name, though they are indeed vegan), so this was truly a treat. I highly recommend them, especially if you've never tried vegan dumplings before!

I've missed preparation of vegetables like this ever since I visited China. These veggies look incredibly simple, but they're packed with flavor - super garlicky and savory. I believe all of the vegetable dishes at Din Tai Fung should taste like this!
