I was surprised to have multiple options at this downtown sports bar. Just ask the staff for help - they were very knowledgeable about adapting the menu. Ask for crispy #tofu instead of chicken and remove the spicy yogurt. I didn’t even miss the yogurt, this was sauce enough. The dish also includes coconut rice, wok fired vegetables and red cabbage. The overall flavour wasn’t remarkable but it was nice to have an option here. #victoria #tofulover

I wish that they had vegan cheese and mayo because it was unfortunate not having them topped with cheese as they normally would be or being able to dip them in a vegan friendly charred jalapeño ranch sauce. Otherwise, I did like them. Nice texture on the fried cauliflower. I want to make something like this at home in the air fryer.

Sadly the aioli that this is served with is not vegan, so we didn’t have anything to dip these in, but they’re vegan friendly otherwise.

I always check wines at restaurants on barnivore before ordering. All of Dona Paula’s wines appear to be vegan friendly which is think is great.

So, I love this bowl. And it’s one of the only options that can be made vegan at Brown’s. You need to ask for it to be made vegan when ordering; this means no cheese and sushi rice. (The staff are actually aware of this now, which is nice as they weren’t a couple of years ago). I add two servings of blackened tofu, and I get my bowl with a side of Frank’s hot sauce to pour over it. It’s similar to a burrito bowl, with a mexi flavour. Pictured: blackened tofu, corn, black beans, avocado, tomato, tortilla chips and some vegan friendly sauces.
