Our recent Fatayer experience went brrrrr at Kazbar.it wasnt completely plant based.the dough had milk.😏 The very friendly staff Ash at Urban bites assured us that this was.so we went ahead n ordered.N omg.what a great tasting dish. Was baked well. N the spinach filling was rich n creamy.my new favorite. I'm gonna try making at home soon. #abillionlove

When ordering the #spinachfatayer we had to make doubly sure that the dough was #vegan . We had a recent experience where we assumed that the fatayer was vegan but it wasn't. When I saw Tamer Hindi on the menu I knew I had to go for it. Its a sweet and spicy refreshing tamarind drink with some added mint. Gets full marks from me. Also, full marks to the wait staff, Ash, in particular who patiently explained all the vegan and plant-based options on the menu in spite of being short staffed on a Saturday evening. Interestingly tamer al hindi in Arabic roughly translates to 'date of india' and is the basis for the botanical name Tamarindus indica for tamarind. #tamarind #abillionlove #vegansg
