These are two side dishes which make a nice snack. I really like the sour taste of cornbread and don’t find it in London often. The scrambled tofu is quite bland, but I’m ok with that. I think a better pairing might have been arepa with guacamole, but they’d run out. No matter, I’m so pleased that there’s a vegetarian cafe local and doing well. #veganinlondon #vegetariancafe #southamericanfood

Just fancied a hot pickmeup drink. This rich chocolate with warming spices did the trick. Several plant-based milks were available. I chose oat milk. Friendly cafe and serving mainly plant-based dishes with some obvious dairy items. #veganhotchocolate #ditchdairy #spicy

This sizeable brunch was a whirligig of tastes. Nourishing #blackbeans were the centre piece, surrounded by five tasty items. I love the #vegancornbread which attracted me to this feast. Then there was scrambled vegan eggs, fried #plantain #smashedavocado and fresh green salad. A very enjoyable twist on a full breakfast. I’m pretty sure I’ve reviewed the arepa cornbread from Miranda’s before so I’ll focus on the vegan scrambled eggs. First thing to say is that I thoroughly enjoyed this lunch. The two items were both delicate in flavour and I added a little bit of chilli sauce to give a picante. The vegan scrambled egg had no ingredient details on the menu and I never got a chance to ask a member of staff. I think it consisted mainly of mashed red lentil. I liked it but I don’t think ‘scrambled egg’ was a suitable description. The staff are friendly and it’s great to have a local, dedicated vegetarian/vegan cafe. The pricing is high. Very happy to try a snack at this #vegetariancafe so happy in fact that you can see I’ve done the over enthusiastic trick of biting a piece of the arepa and scrambled eggs before photographing 😵‍💫 The cornbread arepa is delicious. It has that wonderful intangibles sour taste that perfectly hosts a variety of fillings. The vegan scrambled egg is a tasty mystery…I think it’s a combination of red lentil and sweetcorn. Anyway it disappeared quickly 😋 The staff member we chatted to recommended trying the Latin breakfast some time, which incorporates all the classics of beans, guacamole and plantain for filling the arepa. I wasn’t in need of a main meal today and the sides were more than adequate: Vegan eggs £3.25 Cornbread arepa £2.45 And to be honest that was the limit of what I wanted to spend. I don’t know about other places in abillion world, but eating out in London is getting reeeeally expensive. I will gladly revisit this very friendly café though. This is technically a sharer but for £9.45 I had it as a main and couldn‘t even finish it ✨ with jackfruit, black beans, cheese sauce & salsa the nachos had plenty of toppings ❤️ loved it!

Delish Caribbean curry!! Love everything, the jackfruit took a while getting used to - I would say it was a bit too sweet for me, but still nice!! Whenever I cook with Jake fruit I put some date ‘juice’ for the sticky sweetness Vs potentially sugar they have used in this recipe. Guac = 👌👌

Really yummy burger from place in Crouch end called Miranda. Really tasty, could be a little generous with the Mayo in my opinion, personal preference - but the chicken patty was a bit dry, but I think chicken in the ordinary sense probs taste like this, or has the same texture!
