Oh my, this was quite the meal. Love how everything comes together so beautifully. Please note that this isn’t immediately vegan, you will need to specify. I got the sweet potato hash, it was so yummy. The sesame tofu cubes were amazing, and i love how well cooked the tenderstems were. Love the crispy kale and smashed avo too. All in all, one beautiful brunch. It’s also pretty filling too: i had this right before the trans pride march, and it kept me very full for most of the day’s walk. This cafe has lots of vegan food and the #omelette was so good. Really appetising, packed with goodness. The vegan version is made from #chickpeaflour #spinach and #vegancheddarcheese and a choice of olives or mushrooms. There’s a lovely side salad with carrot and a chunky slice of sourdough. A very hearty meal. Price £13.50 We sat inside but there are several seats outside on the wide pavement. #veganinlondon #ditchdairy

I’d had an appointment about 10 minutes from Kin and keen to try it I suggested to my friend that we met there for lunch. It’s in a quiet street a short walk from Oxford Street in London, so a nice haven to retreat to from the busy high street. Lunch time is busy with people sitting in and take-aways. We found a table outside with some overhead electric heating helping to keep us warm. I ordered the all-day vegan breakfast omelette. The vegan version is made with chickpea flour and vegan cheese and a tasty mix of spinach, mushroom, grated carrot and olives with a fresh side salad. I loved its stodginess, very comforting and a lovely peppery hit in every bite. It was perfect as a lunch, not heavy. It also came with a slice of sourdough and would set you up very well for breakfast. The staff were very friendly, confident that they were serving good food. It’s vegetarian but virtually all the dishes have the vegan alternative. KIN wants to be ‘a discovered-to-be-vegan cafe, demonstrating how exciting and varied plant-based foods can be.
